What a dilemma. Cone 5 or cone 02? That is the question. I contacted the guy who wants 100 coffee cups about the samples. If he is going to pay me that much money I should buy reliable glaze chemicals and make them standard. I also am struggling with the bonsai planters. The glazes that work so well at cone 5 do not go to 02 so well, yet. I am beginning to think the native clay might just be the best thing. I wish my new test kiln elements would get here. I need to contact the bonsai guy and figure out how we are going to do this. I will deliver some next week. I threw a 12" bonsai pot today and we will see if the clay can make it that far. The bonsai guy is talking consignment and the coffee mug guy is talking direct sales. I am saddened by the closing of 6th Street Gallery in Prosser. She was a good outlet. I have to go up there on Thursday an bring my stuff home. Sad times. Also we have to take down CAVU Cellars in Walla Walla next week but the good news we have another 6X6 charity drive that I need to register for on April 1. First come. first served and they only have so much space and they go quickly. Also, it looks like I will be featured in Othello next year for the annual festival. I will have to have bird paintings. We'll see. I need to build some shelves in the storage shed for all the pots I will bring home from 6th Street. Sad times.

Had a good test firing today. The blue under PVC at cone 03 is really bright and looks good. The planters are in the good kiln with Manganese glaze under PVC and I hope it works. If they work they w

I have bisque fired the planters that I hope to sell locally. Glaze tomorrow. The PVC glaze over the manganese glaze looks good but the pvc needs to be thick enough. I think my smaller kiln needs a
