I am really excited about the native clay. I mixed a bunch of it and have made a mug with the new batch with the larger particles. I think the smaller sieve will be used to reduce the average size. The batches I mixed today have bentonite in them. I ordered cones 1 and 2 to sort out the final temp. I read yesterday that cone 2 is considered stoneware. That is news to me and I will google it some more although it doesn't really matter. I plan on doing only native clay and cone 8 where the native clay act as a glaze. Also, Carol from 6th street gallery and I have a plan to sell soup bowls for charity in Prosser. We will have Thank You on them and the money will go to a specific charity. I might try to convince Carol to make them mugs. This will be fun. Glazes will have to be adjusted to cone whatever.

I think cone 01 is going to work. I am re-glazing some already fired pots and am holding my breath. I really like the clay and think I will add 1 quart of sand to 5 gallons of clay. I don't know ho
